Thai Baan Society is the home that brings the heart of Thailand a little closer to Glasgow. We share Thai culture in a way that feels real, joyful, and totally welcoming no matter you’ve grown up with it or you’re discovering it for the very first time.
You will get to join an immersive and fun from authentic Thai food workshops (yes, you will get to taste everything!), to relaxing sessions introducing traditional Thai massage, to lively moments exploring Thai pop culture, or Mor Lam rhythms🎶🥁. We also bring our favourite festivals to life like Rocket Festival from the Northeast or celebrating the splashing around at the classic Songkran … so you get to experience a slice of Thailand right here on campus!
What makes Thai Baan Society special is our mission to make Thai culture accessible, inclusive, and truly shared. Instead of focusing only on Thai students, we open our doors wide to international friends, local communities, staff, and anyone who’s excited to explore something new, something Muan - Joy.
