Student Educators

Glasgow Uni Student Educators (GUSE) is a society created by and for student teachers at the University of Glasgow. We provide a supportive and welcoming community where members can connect, share experiences, and navigate the challenges of their course together. Whether you’re looking for advice during placement, a chance to relax and socialise, or opportunities to strengthen your professional skills, GUSE is here for you.

Our events range from fun socials like karaoke nights, dinner dances, and pub crawls, to wellbeing activities such as mindfulness sessions, nature walks, and movie nights. We also offer professional development opportunities, including British Sign Language lessons and skills-based workshops, designed to complement your studies and help prepare you for your future career in education.

Above all, we aim to foster a sense of belonging and community. Education courses can feel isolating at times, especially for those living at home or on busy placement schedules. GUSE provides a friendly network where student teachers can meet peers, build friendships, and feel part of a wider teaching community.
