Get involved this November to support fundraising for Men's Health.
Throughout the month of November, the SRC takes part in the fundraising initiative known as Movember!
Movember is a month-long event where people around the world come together to raise money for a variety of Men’s Health issues including mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
Globally, men die on average six years earlier than women, and for reasons that are largely preventable. It doesn’t have to be that way: we can all take action to live healthier, happier and longer lives.
This year we’re encouraging as many people across the University as possible, both students and staff, to take part in Movember on behalf of your friends, brothers and fathers who have been lost to these issues. The SRC have set up the University of Glasgow Movember Network where we are collating all of our fundraising efforts this year - please think about joining it.
The network to join is here: https://uk.movember.com/mospace/network/view/id/50667
Let’s turn the tide on Men’s Health and do what we can to look out for each other. Last year as a University, we raised an astonishing £26,050, and we can’t wait to smash that goal this year!
