This event will run from Friday 3rd April - Monday 6th of April in Broadford on the Isle of Skye.
Tickets
Tickets will cost £29.00 and be available from 6pm, Friday 27th May. They cover accommodation but not food or transport.
Transport
We will be meeting at 6:20am on Friday at Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station to catch the 6:40am Citylink to Broadford Post Office (arriving 12:21pm). You can also get on at the Hillhead bus stop.
On Monday you can catch the 10:55am Citylink from Broadford Post Office, arriving at Buchanan Bus Station at 5pm. You can also catch the 3:30pm Citylink from the same stop, arriving in Glasgow at 9:15pm. (As mentioned below, we are hoping to add a second part to this trip from Monday 6th - Wednesday 8th, if this interests you, you may want to wait before buying your transport tickets.)
The approximate cost of a return Citylink ticket is £60 without any concessions e.g. YoungScot card. There are other transport routes (some cheaper!) so feel free to make your own way.
Accommodation + Food
We will be staying in Broadford Village Hall. You will need a sleeping bag and sleeping mat as usual.
There is a kitchen to prepare and store food. Broadford has a Co-op, petrol stations and restaurants/cafes for food. It may be worth bringing some of your own food if you have particular wants/dietary needs, and to minimise rubbish.
Hiking
We plan to run moderate/challenging hikes on the Friday and Saturday (details to be updated here shortly) and leave Sunday and Monday free for you to explore. Interesting hikes on Skye include Old Man of Storr and the famous Fairy Pools.
Other
We are trying to organise a second location on Skye (Monday 6th - Wednesday 8th), we'll post details here and on our Instagram as soon as we have them. If we do manage this, we'll release extra (cheaper) tickets for the second location, and you are free to come to only one or both events.
As usual, we require walking boots to attend this event. You can find further details on recommended kit here, there will also be plenty of opportunities for wildswimming.
