Overview

Handicapped Snooker Tournament

You don't need to sign up beforehand, just come along and take part! (Please note that entry to the tournament can't be guaranteed if you arrive after 7:20pm).

Everyone is given a handicap, which allows us to work out how many points we should start the players on for a close frame—this means that a beginner who's improving will often be able to beat one of our more experienced players if they're not on their A-game.

The tournament is typically a straight knockout, however the format varies depending on turnout. The tournament usually runs until around midnight, but, being a knockout, only two will be playing competitively by then. When tables are no longer needed for the tournament, they will become available for free practice to tournament entrants, so many people choose to stick around after being knocked out.

Entry is £3 cash (SRC members) or £4 (non-members), and FREE for women!
