In this casual conference environment students from across the years at the University of Glasgow show off their pharmacological research. We hope to show pharmacology students in their 1st or 2nd year what sort of research happens in the uni, as well as reaching students on other life science programmes that may be interested in pharmacology.
We want to show them where pharmacology can take them, including PhD, post-doc and as a lecturer/principal investigator. Additionally, we are aiming to reach pharmacology students in later University stages to broaden their knowledge of current research in pharmacology and allow them to take part in a conference experience preparing them for similar events they may have in the future. By providing a proper conference experience, we hope to give students a chance to show-off their research in a more relaxed environment which will develop their skills and support them in the future regardless of their career path.
