Overview

Drag 101 is back! Can you believe it's here already? That's right, it's time for the UofG Welcome and of course it just wouldn't be right to not kick off a new Drag 101 season during this time, now would it?

So why not come along to The Gilchrist Postgraduate Club, Glasgow Uni on Wednesday 20th September at 7pm for some fun with our fabulous house queens Dharma Geddon, Alana Duvey plus a selection of their drag chums. It's the day after Alana's Birthday so be sure to shower her in all the Birthday love! Just don't ask her what age she is. A lady never tells!

Featuring more drag shenanigans than you can shake a wig at, for example but not limited to, lip sync performances, live singing, comedy, games and sometimes the downright unexpected and weird, not forgetting a wee topical chat or two with all of Dharma and Alana's dated references, all while continuing to break gender norms and experiment with gender and self expression. So be sure to select that 'Going' button and keep your eyes peeled here for guest performer announcements and venue details coming soon.

As always, Drag 101 is open to all, no matter your age, race, gender, sexuality, pronouns, neurotype, abilities, body type, shape, size, hair colour etc. it doesn't matter! You don't even need to be a student at the university or a postgraduate to come and enjoy the show.

So whether you're a Rupaul's Drag Race, Boulet Brothers' Dragula, Queen of the Universe or even a Camp Wannakiki superfan, a local drag connoisseur or if you've never heard of or seen a drag performer in your life, you will be welcomed with open arms and loved here at Drag 101. We hope you'll be entertained.

We operate a welcoming, safe and relaxed space for all. PLUS you can purchase drinks at the bar and maybe even a cheeky snack or two (venue dependant). What more could you want?

Free entry! No tickets required. Simply turn up and you'll be let in (even if you're a little late, we'll still let you in). Advised to arrive early to guarantee a good seat!

Although the show is free, a voluntary tip is always appreciated but this is not mandatory. Should you wish to tip, you can do so by sending your tip online via PayPal at paypal.me/thedharmageddon, in person by putting money in the tip bucket/pint glass or by card with our fabby new card machine. Just see Dharma or Alana at the end of the show. Please only tip if you want to and have the funds to do so. We understand times are tough and not everyone can afford to. We will never force money from you. All we ask is you enjoy yourselves. However, if you do tip we can assure you that all tips will be split equally among all performers and stage hand.

*Please note under 18's must be accompanied by an adult (said adult will need to purchase non-alcoholic drinks and snacks at the bar on their behalf) and last but not least, please be aware that this is a drag show so there may be the possibility of adult language, themes and or content, slight nudity, a crowded space, audience participation, a photographer, bright lights and loud noises/music. Types of performances may vary from those listed above. We can't always predict there won't be content that may be a trigger to some but we'll always try our best to warn where possible. Our intention is never to offend, upset or cause harm to anyone.
