Overview

Join us as we launch Disability History Month at the University of Glasgow with an afternoon mixer exploring this year’s theme: Disability, Politics and Democracy.

This relaxed event will bring together students, staff and organisations to kick off a month of awareness, discussion and community.

Organised by the SRC in collaboration with the Disabled Students' Society, this year's campaign will explore the relationship between disability, politics and democracy, including disabled people's experiences of participation, representation, rights and access to public life.

At the launch, you'll have the opportunity to hear from a range of speakers and organisations, find out more about the month ahead, and connect with others in an informal and welcoming setting.

Refreshments will be available, and the event will take place in Room 201 of the McIntyre Building.
