Join us at the Eco-Hub for a special Student Refugee Day drop-in event celebrating the many cultures and communities that make up our campus.
Take part in our collective art project by painting or drawing a mini canvas that represents a piece of home – something that reminds you of your culture, memories, or experiences. These small artworks will come together to create a shared display reflecting the diversity of the University of Glasgow community.
While you create, enjoy a 50p coffee from the Eco-Hub and a selection of international sweet treats and snacks. These include freshly baked sweet buns from Deanston Bakery, a Ukrainian bakery based in the southside of Glasgow, alongside a range of other snacks inspired by flavours from around the world, such as Barazek biscuits, Palestinian Medjool dates, and cassava chips.
The event is designed as a welcoming and relaxed space to connect, reflect, and celebrate the many ways people carry a sense of home with them.
Gluten-free and vegan options will be available.
