The GU Big Band Extravaganza is the highlight of the year for jazz music on campus. Come along and enjoy some spectacular live music in the GUU Debates Chamber, with formal dress encouraged. We are also delighted to be joined by the wonderful Zig Zag Big Band, playing tunes featuring many new composers and arrangers. With both bands showcasing tunes you've heard before recontextualised into new, groovy feels and musical diversity ranging from Count Basie to Stevie Wonder, Thelonius Monk to Gordon Goodwin, there is guaranteed to be something that gets you moving.
Tickets are £10 for students and £15 for non-students a few may be available to purchase on the door, but this event fills up fast!
