Overview

Get ready for an evening of colour, costumes, and Karneval fun! Join the German Society for a festive night at the Gilchrist Postgraduate Club filled with music, games, and sweet treats with support from the Students’ Representative Council.

Karneval is a traditional German festival celebrated before the start of Lent. It’s a time of parades and festivities, where people come together to celebrate, enjoy sweets, create mischief, and have fun before the quieter season of spring.

Join us for:

  • Costume Contest with Prizes
  • Games & Activities (Topfschlagen, Flunkyball, Pretzel ring toss, etc.)
  • Free Donuts
  • Music & Dancing
  • Photobooth with Props

You do not have to be a member of the German Society to attend - this event is open to all students to take part in this fun celebration! Bring your friends, wear your best costume, and celebrate Karneval with us! We can’t wait to see you there!
