Join us during Student Volunteering Week & LGBTQ+ History Month to take part in a creative, community-led zine-making & storytelling workshop with national charity, It Gets Better UK.

It Gets Better UK work to help end the mental health crisis facing LGBTQ+ young people. By and for LGBTQ+ people, the charity is growing a community-sourced storytelling collection sharing personal experiences so that no LGBTQ+ young person needs to feel alone.

The charity will be running a free, collaborative zine-making workshop, inviting you to create and share art and writing that reflects your experience and/or support for the LGBTQ+ community.

By taking part, you will be volunteering your voice and creativity to support a national charity and contribute to a growing collection of stories rooted in care, visibility, and hope. Selected submissions will be published in an online zine to mark and celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month.

This is a relaxed, inclusive space for LGBTQ+ students and allies alike. No creative experience is needed, and all materials will be provided.
