Get ready for the biggest night of the year! The Burns Ball is your chance to dress up, show up, and celebrate with ACCFIN students from across the cohort - and their lucky plus ones!
From the moment you arrive, you can expect high energy, bubbly at the door, and a warm welcome from the board and our piper as you enter the drinks reception. You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets and support this year’s charity, The Beatson Cancer Charity, who provide wellbeing and specialist services for individuals living with a cancer diagnosis.
Evening Overview
6:30pm – Arrival & drinks reception at the Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel. Meet fellow guests, grab a glass of bubbly, and enjoy the start of the night with the piper welcoming you in.
7:00–7:15pm – Take your seats for the traditional Addressing of the Haggis with Ben and our Chieftain, who will raise a toast.
7:20pm – Welcome speech by the GUAS President, Ben, followed by a speech from Beatson themselves.
7:30pm – A delicious three-course dinner is served. During the starter–mains interval, you’ll have another chance to purchase raffle tickets. Throughout the evening – Enjoy our photobooth, perfect for capturing iconic moments with your pals.
9:15pm – Announcement from our chosen charity and final opportunity to buy raffle tickets. Raffle winners will be revealed shortly after.
We’ll round off the night with a live ceilidh band, complete with guided steps to keep everyone on their toes - no excuses for the Scotsman not to be flying! Finally, we’ll head to Oran Mor for the official afterparty.

Starter: Haggis, Neeps & Tatties with a Whisky Sauce
Main: Breast of Chicken with Mushroom & Smoked Pancetta Sauce, served with Chef’s Selection of Vegetables & Potatoes
Dessert: Sticky Toffee Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce & Chantilly Cream
Fresh tea and coffee with tablet will also be served.
