As part of this year’s Disability History Month, the Disabled Students’ Society and SRC are hosting an Open Mic Night celebrating the creativity and lived experiences of disabled students through the arts.
Incorporating this year’s theme “Disability, Life and Death,” we welcome poetry, music, spoken word, storytelling, and all other forms of creative expression to uplift disabled voices on campus.
If you’re interested in performing during the open mic, please submit your name here: https://forms.office.com/e/pirYRysdzA (also accessible via @gudisabledstudents instagram linktree)
To keep the space inclusive and comfortable, attendance will be ticketed — but tickets are free to ensure accessibility for all students. Additionally, the WeeG in the Gilchrist PG Club will be available as a calm, low-sensory area for anyone who needs it during the event.
