This is your official welcome to life at the University of Glasgow!
The UofG Welcome is more than just your tradtional Freshers' Week: organised by the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) and Glasgow University Sports Association (GUSA), the Welcome includes your usual concentrated week of daytime and evening events (Welcome Week: Sunday 11th – Friday 16th September) but also extends beyond to include a whole year of fun!
The UofG Welcome is all about inclusivity, ensuring that all new and returning students feel included and appreciated: from 1st years to Postgraduates, to returning 2nd years, to visiting international students - we aim to have something for everyone over the 100+ events we host during Welcome Week and the many more events lined up throughout the year.
Some of the highlights you can look forward to include the 2-day Welcome Fair where you can meet over 300 clubs and societies, the 2-day Sports Fayre where you can join over 50 sport clubs and teams, a huge Houseplant Sale throughout the week, tours around campus and trips across the city, sport taster sessions, society workshops and student mixers, as well as the famous Welcome Address in the Bute Hall.
