Freshers’ Week at the University of Glasgow just got even bigger and better as it moves under the banner of the UofG Welcome!
Traditionally, Freshers’ Week has been a time to welcome new 1st year students to the University with a week of fun events and activities. The past year has been incredibly difficult for everyone, and we recognise that it’s not just new students who need to feel welcomed at the University, it’s everyone!
That's why we've expanded Freshers' Week under the new banner of the UofG Welcome. From 1st years to Postgraduates, to returning 2nd years, to visiting international students: the UofG Welcome is all about creating an inclusive atmosphere for all students starting back at the University this September.
The Students’ Representative Council have worked alongside clubs and societies to create a programme of events and activities that includes the usual concentrated week of events (Sunday 12th – Friday 17th September) but also extends beyond to include a whole month of fun
Some of the events you can look forward to include the Welcome Fair where you can meet over 300 clubs and societies, a Houseplant Sale throughout the week, as well as the famous Welcome Address in the Bute Hall.
