About

Glasgow University Yoga Club is an inclusive, fun-loving group offering five classes a week with additional exciting workshops, socials and even retreats.

Our teachers all have different styles, giving each class a different feel and flow. Our classes range from Yin to Vinyasa style practise, and we often explore other branches of yoga at our workshops! Our club is open and welcoming to all abilities – whether you're a complete beginner, have followed some YouTube videos or practice regularly to an advanced level, our classes offer fun, creative flows ensuring you leave feeling fully stretched and relaxed.

Training

Classes are open to all levels. Please see the Club Sport Training Timetable for class times. A mat is required to attend classes and can be bought with membership.

Socials

Socials are held roughly every two weeks. Our socials range from coffee catch-ups to cheese & wine socials, and much more! In previous years the club has offered members the chance to go on Yoga Retreats! We host a day retreat with an amazing yoga studio on the West Coast of Scotland on the shores of Loch Fyne. Previously the club has gone to Corfu to do a week-long yoga retreat. Please note that the retreats incur an extra cost and spaces are limited.

Insurance

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the appropriate insurance cover for any activity you take part in.  Upon joining, please check the level of insurance cover we, as a club, provide to you.

GUSA recommends that all students playing high risk sport, go abroad to compete/train, or are playing in governing body leagues, may want to consider/need to take out personal liability insurance, or join the sports governing body to be covered.  Some insurance providers also offer specialist sports cover.
