About

Glasgow University Russian Speaking Society was founded several years ago to connect Russian speakers and leaners across Glasgow University. The society is run by an elected committee of students.

The Russian Speaking Society of the University of Glasgow is delighted to welcome all interested in pursuing the study of the Russian language, and Russian speakers from all walks of life.

At the Russian-speaking society we aim to create a multi-cultural space – all our events will be run in both Russian and English and every attempt will be made to make language learners of any level feel welcome and included.

Based on the success of previous years, we aim to offer a broad variety of activities, including quizzes, karaoke nights, film screenings, music and poetry events and our famous vodka tastings.

We intend to offer our members weekly events and are open to your suggestions to add on new events by popular demand to maintain a thriving, diverse and stimulating environment.

Follow us on social media for further updates.
