Join the Economic & Social History Society alongside the Poetry Society, Book Society, Book Babes Society, Philosophy Society, Scottish Literature Society and Worldbuilding & Storytelling Society as we celebrate the famous Scottish writer and poet, Robert Burns. We will meet in the Boyd Orr Building @ 6pm, and the societies will present prompts based off of Burns' works. You will then be given the opportunity to participate in creating your own interpration of his work in a chilled out, stress free enviroment. This event will introduce Burns to people who may not know him, or further explore the knowledge of others whom already know of him. We will also be joined by guest speaker, Jess Smith (Graduate of Creative Writing from Strathclyde University) who will share her knowledge to aspire writers or poets, and provide us with some exciting writing exercises! Come and work on your creative writing skills, make friends, and learn about the fantastic Scottish icon, Robert Burns, as we have fun and relax! We will have a social afterwards.
